Hey Mom and Dad,
Thanks for attaching the pictures! Wow! That sounds like some fun times on the boat. Elder Sanchez was like "Oh man, I remember going out on the tubes. Ah man, now I feel trunky." lol We both agree that nothing beats going out on the lake on the tubes. And that sounds like a great time with Robbie, Kristen and Luke. It might just be me, but it looks like Lukes gotten huge!! Man has it only been almost 6 months since I last saw him? lol But, looks like everyone´s doing great. I miss those good ól times going to the beach with the family. And that´s sweet you went to Izzys after. Whoa… it was 107 in the valley? It´s hotter there than it is here in Ecuador! lol, Well at least here on the beach. The more I talk to other elders the more it sounds like this area here really is one of the best in a lot of ways, including the cooler weather.
Whoa! So Daniel got called to Hawaii??? Thats awesome!! lol Yeah I bet he´s excited. That´ll be an awesome mission. You´ll have to send him my congratulations so he doesn´t have to wait a month for my letter :). So is he gonna postpone school and just work until he leaves then? Well over here things are going good as usual. We´ve had another week of ups and downs. It´s aweome how many families we´re teaching. But funny every night by the time we get back to the apartment I am beat. I don´t think I´ve been so tired so often in my life :). But yeah for your questions things are still going good with Elder Sanchez. Yeah we´re almost certain that he´ll be transfered next week. He´s been here 6 months (4 changes) and has been with me 3 changes. Even with Pres. Gamboa it sounds like 3 changes with the same companion is quite a while. But of course there´s always that chance that he´ll stay or I might go, lol. So we´ll see.
We have another family, a single mom and her daughter who are committed to baptism next week. We´re way excited for them. We´ve been teaching them for some time and they´ve been coming to church for a while and have a strong friend in the church. It´s great because the mother is really down to earth and practical about things. Nothing fancy but just knows it´s the right thing and important. We´re confident they´ll be strong members.
Other then that , 2 of the less active families that we´ve been working with came to church!! They even asked to borrow my pen so they could fill out a tithing slip!!! Yeah that was exciting to know that they´re starting to pay tithing again! I know they´ll start to feel the blessings of the gospel even more now.

We had a kind of nerve-racking last lesson of the week last night that was kind of funny. So Sunday night, last lesson of the week, we´re about to teach a less active family but their son was baptized about a month ago. Well, we´re about to start the lesson when comes a knock on the door, and in walks Bishop Banchon (former bishop) and Brother Morán (a former Mission president of the Chile mission), apparently they´re the home teachers. Bro. Moran was way nice, asked if they could intrude and told us to continue. Yeah, just a bit intimidating, lol. Both me and Elder Sanchez got nervous just having them there. Bro Moran has been in the ward and we always thought it´d be awesome to have a lesson with him but intimidating teaching with a former mission president. Nonetheless we had the lesson and taught about the importance of repenting often. We used thread as an object lesson to tie around your wrist, showing that if you repent often you can break the thread, but if you wait and keep wrapping the thread before too long it becomes nearly impossible to break. It was good, but we were both a bit nervous, lol.
So anyways, thanks again for your letters and that package. Kinda funny thing about those cards for The Living Christ. They really look great, just I think I should´ve reminded that I need to memorize it in spanish and the cards are all in english, lol. Do you think you could find more in Spanish?
Alright well I´d better get going. Thanks again! Miss you!

Love,
Elder David Frome
PS- I attached a photo of me and Elder Barcia I thought you´d like :). And as for losing weight I´m honestly not sure, lol. We have no way to weigh ourselves but I don´t really feel too different. Like I´ve said before we really eat fairly well- plenty of seafood :D
