Noche Blanca!

Hola Madre y Padre
¡Esta semana fue muy buena! Last P-day was a blast! We did go to Planet Ice cream which I think was on a more touristy part of the peninsula. Oh man it was AMAZING!! lol It reminded me of Cold Stone ice cream. It was just like it, only not quite as many choices of ice cream. It was kind of expensive but for a p-day activity definitely worth it. The other awesome part was it was one block from the beach. So we got our ice cream then went to the beach to eat it! ah it was great. After that we went to the Chocalotera, which was another touristy place I think where it´s like one place with a ton of rocks that really juts out into the ocean. We got a lot of good pictures But yeah, that was a great día de preparación!

But anyways, So easily the highlight of the week was the "Noche Blanca" that we had Saturday night. It was really neat. I think there were about 10 baptisms total and it was in the stake center. One thing also, I guess I forgot to tell you but we had 3 investigators being baptised, and one, Jackelin, wanted me to baptise her! Her and her son were being baptised and we´ve been teaching her since I got here. It was so awesome to be able to do it. I was a little nervous doing it in Spanish and all and just remembering her whole name (lol) but I´m pretty sure I did it all right. It was great way to end the change. Elder Martineau baptized one niño as well so that must´ve been great for him to finish as well. The whole night took about 3 hours I think. It went longer than we had planned so we didn´t have time to get to all of our citas after but that´s alright, it was worth it.

Overall it´s been a great week. The weathers really been amazing. I don´t even notice the humidity anymore and the temperature, with the breeze, is perfect. Some days are hotter than others but I really can´t complain. I´d say it averages in the 80s. I´m getting in a good habit of drinking more water. so I think that´s helping. One thing, though, is that my eyes aren´t taking so well to all the dust. Like I´ve said before, most all the roads are dirt roads and there really isn´t any grass or much shrubbery at all so it gets quite dusty. Wednesday night I got back to the house and my eyes were really red and irritated. We figured it´s because of my contacts so since Thursday I´ve actually been wearing my glasses (yeah. me. wearing glasses- ever thought you´d see the day?? lol. It kinda stinks because I didn´t exactly pick out these glasses with any kind of public appearance in mind. I just got them because I thought having the bigger lens would give me more peripheral vision, not exactly for looks, lol. But ah well as Elder Eaton said the mission is the only 2 years of your life when you can kinda throw looks out the window and not worry about it, lol. So it´s kool.

Alright well I´d probably better get going, let me know if these pictures work, I hope they go through all right. Thanks again for your emails! they´re great to get every week! love you!

Love,

Elder David Frome
